How Many Days Do You Need in Morocco? Itineraries from 3 to 15 Days
From a short trip to the desert to the great tour of the imperial cities: realistic itineraries for every length of stay.

Morocco is bigger than it looks on the map. Distances are long and the best places are spread across the country. Here are our recommended itineraries.
3 days: the desert
If you are in Marrakech or Fez with little time, three days are enough to sleep in the Sahara. See the 3-day tour from Marrakech or the 3-day tour from Fez.
5 to 7 days: desert and a city
Combine the Sahara with Marrakech or Fez, with two nights in the dunes or the crossing from one city to the other. Our 5-day tour and the 7-day tour from Casablanca are perfect.
8 to 10 days: the imperial cities
The imperial cities are the four historic capitals: Rabat, Meknes, Fez and Marrakech. With 8 to 10 days you can see them all, plus Chefchaouen and the desert. See the 8-day imperial cities tour or the 10-day tour from Casablanca.
12 to 15 days: the complete Morocco
Two weeks let you add the Atlantic coast of Essaouira, a day in the High Atlas and two nights in the desert. See the 12-day tour and the 15-day grand tour.
Our tips
- Do not try to see everything: two nights in the same place make the trip more relaxed.
- Fly into one city and out of another (for example Casablanca and Marrakech) to avoid going back.
- Always include at least one night in the desert: for most travellers it is the highlight.
Use our route map to compare all the tours by city and number of days.
