Our camp in the dunes

A quiet hollow of Erg Chebbi, far from the road and the lights, where we welcome our guests every night of the year.

The camp

Sleep among the dunes

Our camp sits in a quiet hollow of Erg Chebbi, protected from the wind and far from the village lights. It is run by our own team from Merzouga: the same people who lead the camels, cook the dinner and play the drums by the fire.

The tents are made of thick Berber wool and furnished like a small hotel room, with a double or twin bed, good mattresses and warm blankets, and a private bathroom with hot shower. There is a dining tent, a lounge with carpets and cushions and a fire circle under the stars. You can arrive by camel at sunset, by 4x4 or on foot.

Practical information

How to get to the camp

We meet you in Merzouga in the late afternoon, at your hotel or at the edge of the dunes. You leave your big luggage with us, take only a small bag for the night and ride to the camp by camel in about an hour and a half. If you prefer, we take you by 4x4.

Bring a warm layer, a torch and comfortable shoes: desert nights are cool, and cold in winter. If you are coming from far away, we can organise your transfer from Errachidia airport or from your hotel.
