Our story
From the dunes to your journey
As children, the dunes of Erg Chebbi were our playground. We learned from our fathers to lead the camels, to read the sand and the stars, and to welcome travellers with a glass of mint tea, as our families have always done.
Merzouga Camel Dunes was born from that love for the Sahara. We started with a few camels and a small camp, and today we welcome guests in our own camp in the dunes, offer every desert activity around Merzouga and organise private tours from all the big cities of Morocco.
Everyone in our team is from Merzouga: the cameleers, the drivers, the cooks and the musicians. We know every dune, every nomad family and every road of the south, and nothing makes us happier than seeing our guests leave as friends.
